Career Timeline
Daren Kelly has worked as a professional actor for 50 years. He began performing with South Coast Repertory in California, while still attending U.C.Irvine.
Moving to New York in 1974, Daren immediately gained work in regional theater, theatrical tours, and on the daytime drama, 'All My Children.'
Making his Broadway debut in 1978's 'Deathtrap,' he proceeded to add 'Woman of the Year,' 'Crazy for You' and 'South Pacific' to his Broadway credits.
He's toured nationally and internationally in such hits as '42nd Street,''Footloose,''Crazy for You,' 'I'm Not Rappaport,' A.R. Gurney's 'Children' and 'Ah, Wilderness' ; performed classical and modern classic plays with such names as Al Pacino, Richard Kiley, Simon Jones, John Wood, Sada Thompson, Christian Borle, Stacy Keach, Jeff Daniels, Marian Seldes, Betty Buckley, John Cullum, Justino Diaz, Harriet Sansom Harris, Robert Cucciolli and Matt Morrison.
He's been directed by Daniel Sullivan, Robert Moore, Mike Ockrent, Susan
Stroman, Gerald Freedman, George Schaefer,Michael Engler, Stephen Porter, Douglas Seale, Irene Lewis, Francesca James, David Emmes, Margarett Perry, Walter Bobbie, Michael Parva, Estelle Parsons, & Jack Going, to name but a few.
On film and TV, he has appeared in Marvelous Mrs Meisal, M*A*S*H, the entire Law & Order franchise, Tales from the Darkside, Love Hurts, and Kate & Allie.
But he's proudest of his work in the Civil War film "Kingdom Coming," and the mockumentary "Monkey Juggler."
